    Geon Park (b. 1957, Busan, Korea) studied Fine Arts and received his master’s degree with his thesis, “Studies on Oh Yoon’s artworks.” Park captured the pains of the time producing satirical artworks under the series Scratches-80. He curated Zeitgeist (1983–7) and published Zeitgeist I, II, III (1984, 1985 and 1986, respectively). His recent works focus on translating contemporary politics, society, and sentiment by considering and editing commodities and daily activities. His solo exhibitions include Pounding Heart – Geon Park’ Performance (Black Tent, Seoul, 2017), Rivers (Gallery Think Box, Gwangju, 2019), and 4F-Self-Isolation (Namu Artist Space, Seoul, 2020). He also participated in group exhibitions including Locus and Focus: into the 1980s through Art Group Archives (GMoMA, Ansan, Korea, 2019), and Denuclearization Art Action 2020 (Totatoga Gallery, Busan, Korea, 2020). He authored Art is the pain of the time, the portrait of the time (2017).
