The exhibition title “where the flowers are blooming” is the sub-title of Chapter 6 of Han Kang’s “Human Acts”, a novel depicting those escaping from dark wounds of the 5·18 Democratization Movement toward bright places where the flowers bloom. ⁠

The “to where the flowers are blooming” 5·18 Democratization Movement special exhibition will serve as an opportunity to heal our wounds and seek future directions with artistic language.⁠
